Weekend Family Fun

This past weekend we went to visit Great Grandma Cecelia. It would've been her 99th birthday! We also played and took lots of pictures.

Check-Ups

Kaya had her 2 year check up and Keely had her 9 month check up last friday. Here are the girls stats:

KAYA:
weight: 30 lbs. (88%)
height: 3 ft. (75%)
head circumference: 48.7cm (95%)


KEELY:
weight: 22 lbs. (88%)
height: 28 in. (70%)
head circumference: 45.8cm(75%)

The Pedi says both girls are doing excellent! The entire office was amazed with how much Kaya said and how well she spoke. The Pediatrician has nicknames for both girls that he started with them since they were born. Kaya is "Buttercup" and Keely is "Pumpkin". I guess they both look cute enough to eat!

Under the Sea...

Kaya had her 2nd birthday party last week. The theme was The Little Mermaid. She had so much fun playing with all her friends! Thanks everyone for sharing this special day with us!

Slumber Party!!

Keely often spends time with her Godparents. They love to come pick her up and even keep her for the night! They also take her to church and show her off. It's been said that "she looks more like the Dad" when at their church!

Famous Already

About 6 weeks ago, Kaya and I were in a wedding. I was the Matron of Honor and Kaya was the Flower Girl. Keely was named the 2nd Flower Girl although she did not walk down the aisle. She stayed with Daddy.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Kaya!

Princess Kaya Cecelia is 2!!

Where did the time go? Kaya amazes us every day. She knows Spanish, some Chinese, counts to 10 in English and Spanish. She also counts to 3 in Chinese. She has learned so much over the last few months that it feels like she is older then 2!

Right now she is really, really into ice skating. She skates around the living room, doing spins and moves her arms about! All the while, saying "I'm skatin!"

Her birthday party tomorrow is the Little Mermaid theme. As some of you may know, our bathroom is also Little Mermaid.

Happy Birthday to my big girl! We love you so much.

The Pinks

Keely's Godparents, Chris and Kim, nicknamed our family "The Pinks". I think because I LOVE pink, the girls are ALWAYS in pink, and they are very girly! I love the name! I think it fits us very well. Except for poor Mark!

As most of you may know, our girls are growing up so fast. Kaya will be 2 tomorrow, and Keely will be 9 months tomorrow. Where did the time go? People told me they would grow up too fast, but I didn't know just how fast until now. I look back on Kaya being a little baby and remember thinking that I needed to enjoy her "baby" stage. Then we were blessed with another little girl! Keely was definitely a baby longer then Kaya was.

Kaya is a great big sister. She checks on Keely when she cries, gives her a pacifier and even covers her with a blanket when she sleeps. Kaya has nicknamed Keely "sister".
